The History Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a position in the history of early modern Iberian Peninsula and its empires, at the tenure-track assistant professor level. Research specialization may be focused in either Spain or Portugal or in one of their overseas colonies. Thematic interests may include, but are not limited to, empire, colonialism, gender, religion, science, and cultural history.
