The Department of Humanities invites applications for an Assistant Professor of History with a research specialty in Spain and the Atlantic World (full-time, tenure-track). The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in area(s) of expertise; maintain an active research and publishing agenda; and provide service to the department, college, university, and community. Applicants with teaching experience; research specializations in social/cultural history topics; and/or ability to teach medieval history are encouraged to apply. Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in History (advanced ABDs will be considered for Visiting Assistant Professor appointment); research specialization and ability to teach courses in the history of Spain and the Atlantic World; ability to teach survey courses in Western or World Civilizations; and willingness to teach U.S. history survey courses.
