Ed Behrend-Martinez on “Who Do You Think You Are?”

Yes, that was Ed Behrend-Martinez escorting Martin Sheen through the archives in Spain last night on NBC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?” (Fri Feb 3, 2012). Congratulations, Ed!

Ed’s appearance is towards the end of the show, although the whole episode is pretty interesting.

  1. Oh, good, I was hoping you’d comment on that. Yay for Ed!! I thought that was a great way of presenting history both as serious archival work and the source of great stories.

  2. Go, Ed! I watched it just to see who the mystery Hispanist would be. What fun! One of the aspects of Who Do You Think You Are that impresses me the most is their habit of using *actual* historians to explain historical context. (Did you see the one with Mary Beth Norton?)

    • Erin,

I did not see the one with Norton – which one was that?
My wife, who is a US 19th century social historian and does a lot of tracking down obscure people from pension records, etc., also enjoys this show.
