Update: William Paterson Position Now a Full 1-Year Visiting

The Department of History invites applications for a visiting one-year position in European History at the rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor to start in September 2011.  Field is open, but applicants must be able to teach a course on Imperial Spain in fall 2011 and World History surveys in both fall 2011 and spring 2012. Appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor require a doctoral degree in History with some teaching experience at the college level. ABDs will be considered at the rank of Instructor. Send letter of application, curriculum vitae, names and contact information for three references, and writing samples to Dr. Evelyn Gonzalez, Chair, Department of History, William Paterson University, 300 Pompton Road, Wayne, New Jersey, 07470. Email applications are also accepted at gonzaleze@wpunj.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
