Early Modern Spanish History Notes is proud to host the program and abstracts of the history panels that appeared at the University of Virginia Inquisition Symposium in November, 2011. (There was also a workshop for deciphering early Spanish sources, whose content doesn’t translate well to the blog.)

This site will be featuring the symposium as a special page for some indefinite period of time. Thanks to all the contributors for allowing me to highlight their unpublished work.

Teo F. Ruiz, The Terror of History: On the Uncertainties of Life in Western Civilization (Princeton, 2011). The books seems to be a wide-ranging meditation on history rather than simply Spanish history, but surely it will be of special interest to us, his colleagues in Spanish history.
